DBW Driverpak 87mm bigvalve head top end rebuild kit for 1966-79 VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, Thing, and Bus with Type 1 engines. Includes 87mm big bore slip-in pistons & cylinders, big valve performance cylinder heads featuring 40mm x 35.5mm stainless valves with 56cc combustion chambers, Elring gasket kit, and stock style steel pushrod tubes.
This kit will fit any 1300-1600cc VW Type 1 engine and the 87mm big bore cylinders slip right in your stock engine case bores. We recommend inspecting the bottom end while the pistons and cylinders are removed for any excess bearing play. This kit rebuilds the top end of your engine with all new pistons & cylinders, wrist pins, rings, cylinder heads, gaskets, and pushrod tubes.
Includes all new pistons & cylinders, wrist pins, rings, cylinder heads, gaskets, and pushrod tubes. Performance cylinder heads use 12mm 3/4 inch spark plugs and have approximately 56cc combustion chambers, single hi-rev valve springs, 3-angle performance valve job, and and have plenty of additional casting material for custom porting or flycutting.
