Weber redline single 40 IDF carburetor kit for 1600-1835cc size VW Type 1 dual port engines. This kit is developed to work on dual port 1600cc and larger VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing, and Bus with upright Type 1 style engines. Can be re-jetted to work with a large variety of engine sizes. The Weber 40 IDF does NOT include velocity stacks.
The single center mounted carburetor is a great option for builds needing a little more airflow and power than a stock carburetor but may not have space on the sides of the engine bay, or want more protection for the carburetor when off-roading.
Kit includes genuine made-in-Spain Weber Redline 40 IDF carburetor, intake manifold with cast-in preheat channels, heim joint linkages, chrome air cleaner, gaskets, and hardware. Velocity stacks are NOT included with the 40 IDF. This kit connects your stock end castings.
