Pertronix 009 Electronic Igntion Distributor for Beetle Ghia - D186604

Pertronix cast 009 style centrifugal advance electronic ignition distributor for 1950-79 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing, Squareback, Notchback, Fastback, and Bus or Transporter. These will fit all carbureted VW Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 air cooled engines.

We recommend the 009 style distributor for all aftermarket carburetor and built engine applications. This carburetor uses centrifugal advance timing based off engine RPM so it will work with aftermarket intake or carburetors that do not have the same vacuum as a stock setup. Great for performance applications.

Tech Tips: Must be used with 3 Ohm coil. Acceptable ohm ratings are 3-3.7 ohms, any less will cause issues with the ignition module. Common issues installing electronic ignitions are: wiring it backwards, or leaving the ignition on with the engine off overnight. Both of these will cause the module to stop operating normally.
